SHELTER NEWS:

Mango is big and friendly. This long-haired orange and white cay was found roaming on 46th Street.

Just like mangoes are a great addition to any smoothie, Mango will be a great addition to any household.

When anybody approaches to pet him, he will lean into their hand to get his neck scratched all around.

Shelter staff thinks he is about three years old.

All adoptable pets are microchipped, spayed or neutered, and brought up-to-date on vaccinations. Dogs are checked for heartworm.

The Los Alamos Animal Shelter, 226 East Road, (505) 662-8179, has a great selection of adoptable pets.

Visit the Friends of the Shelter’s new website at www.lafos.org for information about volunteering, adopting and donating, or call  (505) 662-8179.

Also, check out the Petfinder page for photos and to learn more about the adoptable pets at http://www.petfinder.com/shelters/friendsoftheshelter.html.
