PEEC News:

The Pajarito Environmental Education Center (PEEC) continues its Summer Family Evenings series with a unique program combining two favorite summer activities, reading and nature walks.

This collaboration between PEEC and the Los Alamos County Library System is 6:30 p.m. Tuesday, Aug. 6.

The StoryWalk® Project is a national program created by Anne Ferguson of Montpelier, Vt., and developed in collaboration with the Vermont Bicycle and Pedestrian Coalition and the Kellogg-Hubbard Library. PEEC has adopted this fun and unique concept for its final Summer Family Evening of 2013.

Event participants will enjoy a summer stroll on the nature trail, while discovering pages of a storybook posted along the way. Kids will enjoy locating the next page of the story and doing fun activities with their families during the 6:30-8 p.m. event.
