Join PEEC and renowned naturalist Relf Price for an exciting glimpse into his explorations within the Valles Caldera in search of fungi, slime molds, and lichen at 6 p.m., Wednesday, Feb 22, at the Los Alamos Nature Center.
With almost 20 years of experience studying the Caldera, Price will share his wealth of knowledge on the fleshy fungi, lichens, algae, slime molds, and other spore-producing organisms found in the area.
Price is a Los Alamos native who has been working in various divisions at LANL since 1982. With a background in research and flow cytometry, he has a unique perspective on the growth and development of algae.
The talk will be held in person, providing an opportunity for participants to learn about the Caldera and its incredible biodiversity. Admission is free, making this event accessible to all.
