This is my 19th year walking to raise funds for breast cancer. My journey started when I found a lump in my left breast.
Since then I have lost my mother-in-law, my cousin and a dear friend to breast cancer.
Along the way I have walked with hundreds of survivors, and walked with thousands who lost mothers, sisters, wives, husbands, fathers, brothers and friends.
I keep walking because the funds we raise are supporting researchers and are making a difference – new medicines, new treatments, and new approaches to diagnostics.
Please support me as I continue the incredible challenge to make an impact in the fight to end breast cancer.
The Susan G. Komen 3-Day® isn’t just a 60-mile walk over the course of three days—it’s a journey to the end of breast cancer.
In 2016, Komen announced a Bold Goal—to reduce the current number of breast cancer deaths by 50 percent in the U.S. by 2026.
Please help me make that goal a reality. I have walked close to 1,000 miles so far, in cities such as Denver, Charlotte, San Diego, San Francisco, and Seattle. This year I will be walking 60 miles in the Twin Cities (Minneapolis-St Paul) in August. I need to raise $2,300 by July 15, but I plan to raise much more.
