SPORTS News:

To mark April (National Pickleball Month), the newly formed Pajarito Pickleball Club is now open to accepting members at www.pajaritopickleballclub.org.

Join in playing the fastest growing sport in America! Membership is $35/year and provides many benefits.

The Club will host a Kick-off event at 10 a.m. Saturday, April 13 at Pinon Park in White Rock. An orientation will be provided for those new to the sport and loaner paddles will be available for play.

The Pajarito Pickleball Club is a non-profit organization that will serve as a group to advocate for the sport, organize events, share costs of equipment, and support player development. The Club will provide a platform for players, coaches, and other stakeholders to network and share resources, experiences, and best practices. It will also play a crucial role in nurturing talent by offering low cost and free coaching services, training programs, and access to educational resources.

A formal body like the Pajarito Pickleball Club can effectively lobby for the interests of its members. This includes advocating for quality facilities and collaborating with the Los Alamos County government and community organizations to develop the sport. By increasing the visibility of the sport, the Club will be able to attract new players and supporters.
