PAC 8 TV Has Served Los Alamos For Over 40 Years

PAC 8 News:

PAC 8 is the local TV station and Community Media Center in Los Alamos and has been on the air continuously for the past 40+ years.

Longtime Executive Director Jean Gindreau explains that to watch PAC 8, it is necessary to have Comcast Cable where PAC 8 is found on Channel 8.

PAC 8 offers many services to the community including a media transfer service specializing in high quality digitization of audio and visual media.

PAC 8 also transfers all types of old media – VHS, HI 8, Mini-DV, slides, photos, Super 8, 8mm and 16mm films, and audio cassettes. PAC 8 also produces ads and Public Service Announcements for local businesses, organizations and individuals.

Since the COVID-19 pandemic began in March, PAC 8 has been partnering with organizations and helping the community in many ways: 

For the most part, these were events that would have had crowds attending. Now, they are on PAC 8 and PAC 8’s YouTube channel so people can watch them from the safety of their home.
