OLW News:
Our Lady of the Woods (OLW) is an eclectic teaching coven in northern New Mexico, offering a structured, degree-based program in the Ladywoods Tradition, originating with Amber K.
The Congregation meets to celebrate Sabbats, monthly dinners and for other events and activities.
Our Lady of the Woods will hold two public events in March.
Anyone interested in paganism, Wicca or learning about OLW is welcome to join OLW members for an informal dinner on the first Friday of each month.
Whether you are a beginner, advanced practitioner, or just curious, you are welcome. The group meets at the Pyramid Cafe in Los Alamos. The next First Friday Pagan Dinner will take place at 6 p.m. Friday, March 1.
At 6:45 a.m. March 17, Our Lady of the Woods will celebrate Ostara (Spring Equinox) Sabbat at Overlook Park in White Rock. The group will assemble at dawn and face the east to drum up the sun and welcome the spring.
“Dress warmly in layers, bring your drums and rattles, and get ready to have a very good time coaxing the first rays of light up over the clouds,” said Rowan of OLW. “At the time of the equinox, with day and night balanced, we focus on creating our own balance. The ritual is followed by a potluck breakfast nearby.”
