Mother And Son Tie For Best Predictor In ACRR Pace Race

ACRR News:

Sean Ortiz, 6, and his mother Denisse Ortiz-Acosta tied for top predictor at 6 seconds off their predicted time in Tuesday’s Atomic City Road Runners (ACRR) weekly pace race, which started at Fireman’s Park at the corner of 45th Street and Arizona Avenue.

Other accurate predictors are: 

  • Mark Bjorklund with a 18 second differential;
  • Matthew Kerr at 21 seconds off;
  • Charles Ferenbaugh with a difference of 27 seconds; and
  • Another tie of 33 seconds off from Anna Ferenbaugh, 12, and Luke Gibson, 9.
  • Levi Gibson, 10, was the best finisher in the 1 mile course at 6:43 and the first female Ajla Bock, 10, recording a 8:02.
  • On the 3 mile course Travis Gibson was the top finisher with a time of 21:55 and Nikol Strother recorded a 28:16 for best female.

Next week’s race is 6 p.m. Tuesday, June 8 on the Canada del Buey Trail starting at Chamisa Elementary School on Meadow Lane in White Rock. 1 and 3 mile courses will be available on a hard packed dirt surface.
