The Archdiocese of Santa Fe Veterans’ Task Force presents a one day retreat, 8 a.m. to 8 p.m., April 25: “The Other Side of PTSD” … what is it, and how we are addressing it in a faith based program?
This date is set aside for each of us to reflect and share our stories our strengths and our faith with other Veterans’ their spouses, family and friends.All faiths are invited and welcomed.
You are encouraged to ask an adult friend and/or family members over the age of 18 years to accompany you.
The retreat is at Sacred Heart Father James Moore Parish Hall, 609 4th St. SW in Albuquerque. The Hall is directly north, behind the Sacred Heart Church.
Registration and Continental Breakfast will begin at 8 a.m. and the begins at 9 a.m. Plan on a day of reflection on life experiences, faith experiences with others who have traveled many of the same paths as you. The day will be casual and relaxed as is the dress.
We also will visit the home of the Sacred Steel Beams from the World Trade Center and hear about their incredible journey from Ground Zero to Albuquerque and Sacred Heart Church.
The day will consist of talks presented by Iraq and Afghanistan veterans and their spouses, with time to discuss and reflect in the company of other Veterans’ and family members who care about you and our Veteran community. Lunch and light dinner will also be served at this interfaith gathering.
The cost is underwritten by Catholic Extension Lumen Christi Foundation and the Archdiocese of Santa Fe Pastoral Outreach Veterans Task Force (VTF). Advanced Registration is required.
