Staff Report

First Judicial District Attorney Jennifer Padgett hosted a Town Hall Meeting targeting community safety issues that was facilitated by Bill Wadt at UNM-LA.

“Every community in the First Judicial District has unique public safety considerations. Since becoming your District Attorney I have received calls from the Los Alamos community voicing their growing concern about public safety,” Padgett said. “The goal for these meetings is to have an open and honest dialogue between residents, law enforcement officials, and community advocates about our shared concerns and our shared responsibility to address them.”

Panelists at Thursday’s event included Padgett, Municipal Judge Alan Kirk, Los Alamos Police Chief Dino Sgambellone, Los Alamos Deputy Sheriff John Horne and Rep. Stephanie Garcia Richard.

The Town Hall Meeting was held in the Lecture Hall in Building 2, Room 230 on the UNM-LA campus at 4000 University Dr.
