Willard B. Dudgeon, 83, of Loveland, Colo., passed away on January 22, 2015. He was born April 18, 1931 in Carleton, NE. to Thelma and Burton Dudgeon.
He graduated from the University of Nebraska with a degree in Mechanical Engineering and worked most of his career for Los Alamos National Laboratory (LANL) in Los Alamos, New Mexico. He married Lenore Schaller on Sept. 6, 1960 in Las Vegas, Nev. He enjoyed hiking, playing cards with good friends and family, gardening, building furniture, and construction projects on his home. He was a devoted father to two daughters, and adored his two grandchildren. He retired from LANL with over 35 years of service before moving to Espanola, NM, then to Las Cruces, NM and finally to Loveland, Colo.
Willard is survived by his wife Lenore of 54 years, daughter Barbara and husband Matthew Roberts of Loveland, Colo., daughter Laura and husband Andrew of Florence, Colo., grandson Zachary Ornelas of Ann Arbor, MI, granddaughter Olivia Ornelas of Austin, Texas, and nephews Neil Betty of Grand Island, Neb., and Kevin Betty of Lincoln, Neb.
