STELLA TRUJILLO Feb. 1, 1947 – July 9, 2017

Our beloved, Stella Trujillo, 70, passed away on Sunday, July 9, 2017 surrounded by her family after a courageous battle with cancer.

Stella was preceded in death by her parents, Jose and Ida Trujillo; and brother, Ernie Trujillo. Stella will be lovingly remembered and dearly missed by her husband, Tony Trujillo; daughter, Susie Trujillo-Martinez (Dominic), son, Ronald Trujillo (Peggy); grandchildren, Amanda Quintana (Allen), Victoria Trujillo and Ariana Trujillo; siblings, Henry Trujillo (Margarita), Maria-Rae Desmond (Reggie), Santiago Trujillo, George Trujillo (LaVern), Paul Trujillo (Mabel), Rebecca Hillman (Greg), and Doreen Lowery (Dusty), and many nieces, nephews and other relatives.

Stella was born February 1, 1947 in Nambe, New Mexico where she resided until her passing. In 1963 she married Tony Trujillo the love of her life, and enjoyed 54 wonderful years of marriage. Together they raised two children and were blessed with three granddaughters whom she was always bragging about.  Stella was a strong, caring, loving and compassionate woman of great faith and devotion to God.

In 1993, Stella founded Light Styles of Santa Fe, a business that began with her vision to create art through light. It became her greatest passion and is one of her many legacies. Her spirit, drive, and support from her family and friends gave her the courage to begin this endeavor which turned into a successful business for over 24 years. Her outgoing personality, love of others, and passion to create artwork has touched many lives through the years. She will greatly be missed.

Please join us in celebrating her life. Public visitation will begin on Thursday, July 13, 2017 at 6:00 p.m. at the Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Nambe, with a rosary to be recited at 7:00 p.m. Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Friday, July 14, 2017 at 10:00 a.m. also at the Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Nambe, with the burial to follow at the Sacred Heart Catholic Cemetery.

In lieu of flowers, the family asks donations be made to the American Cancer Society. We would like to thank everyone for their prayers, well wishes and friendship.
