PHYLISS DUBE PETERSEN April 20, 1922 – June 3, 2017
Phyllis Dube Petersen peacefully passed away at the age of 95 on June 3, 2017. Phyllis was born on April 20, 1922 in Storden, Minnesota to Hazel and Howard Parker. She was the youngest of nine children. She attended District 24 School in Cottonwood County, and graduated from Windom High School in 1940. She moved to Los Alamos in 1964 and worked at the Medical Center, then at Los Alamos Scientific Laboratory for 22 years.
Phyllis married Arthur Dube in 1965 and lived with him until his death in 1994. She then married Peter M. Petersen in 1994, and lived with him until his death in 2006.
Phyllis is preceded in death by her parents, Hazel and Howard Parker; her son Steven Brandt; her brothers Archie Parker and Lem Parker; and her sisters Ruth, Maxine, Donnabel, Alice, and Elsie. She is survived by her son Erik Al Brandt and her grandson Erik Al Brandt III, as well as a host of nieces and nephews.
Phyllis was an active member of Eastern Star in Westbrook, Minnesota. She was also a member of AARP, the Senior Center of Los Alamos, and Trinity on the Hill Episcopal Church in Los Alamos, New Mexico.
