Obituary: Patricia (Trisha) Ann (Hicks) Livingston Dec. 22, 1948 – June 2, 2017

PATRICIA (TRISHA) ANN HICKS LIVINGSTON Dec. 22, 1948 – June 2, 2017

Patricia (Trisha) Ann (Hicks) Livingston, 68, passed away peacefully on June 2, 2017 after a brief illness. She was born in Las Vegas, NM on December 22, 1948 to Johnnie and Gloria (Roberts) Hicks. She moved to Los Alamos, NM in 1951 and remained there until 1979 when she moved to Midland, TX.

Trisha was preceded in death by her parents, Johnnie and Gloria Hicks, and sister-in-law Lynda Hicks. She is survived by her brothers Lawrence Hicks (Jeanne), Robert Hicks, and Thomas Hicks (Lori); nieces and nephews Andrea Hicks Collins (Jason), Tracy Frank, Mark Hicks, Ben Hicks (Gina), Logan Hicks, Alicia Hicks and Christopher Hicks; great nieces and nephews Jesse Garcia, Daniel Frank, Brenna Collins, Corey Hicks, Riley Hicks and Brianna Hicks. She is also survived by her friend of nearly 50 years, Nelda Lane (Royce) and their children Derek, Jennifer and JaLisa, whom she loved as she would have loved her own children.

She was a very active member of the Anglican Christ Church of Midland, TX where she was involved as a Stephen Minister, was a member of The Order of the Daughters of the Holy Cross and was a Home Eucharist Minister. She was also a Hospice volunteer for many years. Trisha loved animals and in her spare time would dog-sit while their owners were out of town.

Trisha was cherished by our entire family and her many friends. She was the glue that held our family together. She was a kind and loving, sister, aunt and friend and her passing has left a deep hole in our hearts. When asking her loved ones to describe her in one word, the most common words were love, genuine, caring, thoughtful, kind, accepting, faithful and laughter. Those words describe the manner in which she lived which is why she will be so terribly missed. Trisha loved the Lord with all of her heart and took great delight in sharing Christ’s love with others.

We would like to thank Nelda Lane as well as all of her wonderful friends and the clergy from the Anglican Christ Church for taking such good care of her and for helping her and our family get through this difficult time. We could see how dearly she was loved and it has touched our hearts.

A celebration of life service will be held at Anglican Christ Church in Midland, TX on Saturday June the 24th at 2:00. In lieu of flowers memorials can be made to the City of Midland Animal Shelter.
