PATRICIA (PATTI JO) DAUGHARTY Feb. 1, 1957 – Sept. 4, 2015
Patti Jo Daugharty passed away peacefully on September 4, 2015 following a several year battle with kidney failure and related health issues.
Patti is survived by her husband, John Daugharty, and daughter, Brandi Engeman of Los Alamos; her granddaughter, Romilly; her mother, Jan Anders of Tucson, Arizona; her sister Jonna Adams of Pasco, Washington; her brother Mike Durkin, of Littleton, Colorado; as well as several nieces and nephews.
Patti was born in Richland, Washington and traveled extensively throughout the U.S. with her husband and daughter before recently relocating to Los Alamos to be closer to her daughter, granddaughter and son-in-law. She was active at work and loved to spend time with her granddaughter, who brought her endless joy in their adventures together.
She loved her family and was especially fond of her nieces and nephews; Staci and Jonathan, Christina, Cynthia, Cody and Rick, and Noah and Josie; who she viewed like her own children.
Patti was an avid reader, lover of movies and fishing and enjoyed countless hours on the rivers and in the mountains of Washington. She was quick to laugh and slow to judge others; she was a loyal spouse and supportive mother and grandmother. She will be remembered for her unremitting faith in the goodness of others and her ability to make the most out of a bad situation. Her sense of humor and quick wit will be sorely missed by those who knew her well.
A simple remembrance service will be held in Pasco, Washington for those that knew her best. The family asks in lieu of flowers, a donation be made in Patti’s name to support diabetes education and research.
