MARGARET RUTH BUSICK July 27, 1927 – May 12, 2016

Margaret Ruth Busick was called home to be with the Lord on May 12th, 2016, in Alamogordo, N.M.

Ruth was born July 27, 1927, to Hilda F. and James A. Hodges in Baltimore, Md. On Sept. 11th, 1948, she married the love of her life John (Jack) Busick and celebrated 67 years of marriage.

Ruth was blessed with two children, Diane Ruth Campbell (Kalei) who reside in Newport Beach, Calif., and David Lawrence Busick (Estela) who live in Alamogordo. Along with her husband Jack, she is survived by her beloved grandchildren, Kathryn Irene Busick and Joeseph Sterling Busick. Special nephews, Bobby Hodges (Tina) and Michael Hodges (Deanna) and their families were always in her heart.

Ruth was preceded in death by her parents and her beloved brother Robert A. Hodges.

Ruth was passionate in her care of family and friends. She was a great lady, loved and respected by all who had the opportunity to know her. She was active in the First Presbyterian Church and served in many capacities throughout her life. Ruth was an accomplished cook, seamstress, wife, mother and grandmother. She loved the Lord and lived her life to the fullest, and will be dearly missed. We extend a special thank you to the staff at Betty Dare for their special care and support.

A service to celebrate her life will be held at First Presbyterian Church. Pastor Dr. Robert P. Reno will officiate the service at 10:30 a.m. Jack Busick invites family and friends to join us on July 16th, 2016, at the First Presbyterian Church 1318 14th Street for the service and reception. Inurnment will follow at the Monte Vista Cemetery and will be facilitated by Alamogordo Funeral Home.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests making a donation to the First Presbyterian Church Youth Group.
