MADELINE ANNE DONOHOE Sept. 3, 1961 – Oct. 10, 2015

Madeline Anne Donohoe, 54, a resident of Los Alamos, passed away suddenly on October 10, 2015.

Anne was born on September 3, 1961 in Chapel Hill, North Carolina to Peter and Lynn Reynolds. While attending North Carolina State University she met her future husband, Robert, and they were married on April 11, 1984. They moved with their young son Sean to Los Alamos in 1988, where Robert took a job at Los Alamos National Laboratory. Their second son Patrick was born shortly thereafter

Anne worked several years at the YMCA before joining LANL in 1998. At LANL she provided administrative support and then moved on to become an Operations Specialist. She spent time with LANSCE, Physics Division and working for various Facility Operations Directors. She loved working outdoors and on projects. Anne’s signature style was helpful, persuasive, organized and responsive. All were greeted by her sparkling eyes, her bright smile and a bowl of candy on her desk.

Anne’s most treasured job was being a mother to her son’s Patrick and Sean. These two young men were her pride and joy. Among friends she became known as the Queen Bee or Sarge, organizing movie nights, parties and camping trips accompanied with good food and libations. She also participated in numerous community service activities including the Los Alamos Elks Club. Anne was a very caring and loving person, and she will be greatly missed by her family and friends.

Anne was preceded in death by her husband, Robert Donohoe and father, Peter Lee Reynolds, Sr. Mrs. Donohoe is survived by her children, Sean Donohoe and fiancé Heather Lee and Patrick Reynolds Donohoe; mother, Lynn Reynolds; brother, Lee Reynolds and numerous other relatives and friends.

A memorial service will be held on Thursday, October 15, 2015 at 3:00 p.m. at the Fuller Lodge in Los Alamos. In lieu of flowers the family requests donations be made to the Madeline Anne Donohoe Foundation that will be set up at Los Alamos National Bank. Proceeds will benefit Anne’s favorite charities.
