LAUREN HULL MACDONALD Nov. 28, 1950 May 7, 2017

Lauren Hull MacDonald (aka, Lauren Hull Earles) was born November 28, 1950 in Los Alamos, New Mexico. On May 07, 2017, after a long, courageous and valiant battle with breast cancer, Lauren departed on her next journey. While only she and the afterlife know the specifics of her new path, most of the living say, “it is a better place, a place where she is comfortable, and a place where she is welcome.”

Lauren’s journey on earth began and ended in Los Alamos. Along the way she explored and lived life fully, made many folks laugh, and always helped those she met in diverse and caring ways.

A graduate of Los Alamos High School, Lauren attended the University of New Mexico, kept books for the NNM 7-Eleven stores, worked as a doctor’s assistant in Santa Fe, an oiler for a heavy equipment construction crew in Pinedale, WY, a hostess at the famed Silver Dollar Saloon in Jackson Hole, WY, a caretaker at the Moosehead Dude Ranch in Jackson Hole, WY, a property manager, apartment complex owner and real estate broker in Pinedale, WY, a real estate broker in Casper, WY, and lastly a real estate broker in Los Alamos, NM. The common thread through these diverse experiences was her love for helping people, and her long tenure in real estate showcased her altruism and people-centered approach to life. Her passion, dedication, and hard work earned her numerous awards and distinctions–she was President of the Los Alamos Association of Realtors, President of the Los Alamos United Way, and served on many other non-profit boards and commissions throughout her life.

Lauren enjoyed gardening, skiing, traveling, being outdoors, but most of all she cherished helping people accomplish their dream of owning their own home.

Lauren is survived by her husband Douglas R. MacDonald (aka Chief MAC); her brother Dwayne Hull and his wife Arlette Eccher-Hull, Prescott, AZ; her sister Carolyn Sieg, Flagstaff,  AZ; her cousin Francie Wilmeth, La Mesilla, NM; her brother-in-law and his wife Murray and Patti MacDonald of Casper, WY, her sister-in-law and her husband Beverly and Kyle Walker of Pinedale, WY; step-children Bryan MacDonald/Heather Whitaker Irvine, CA; Kurt and Anjali MacDonald, Highlands Ranch, CO; granddaughters Adalyn and Joslyn MacDonald, Highland Ranch, CO, and numerous nieces and nephews.
