JASON W. OTT May 4, 1982 – May 12, 2016

Jason W. Ott, 34, died on May 12, 2016, of injuries suffered in an accident in Arizona.

Jason was born in Santa Fe, New Mexico, on May 4, 1982 and was a 2001 graduate of Los Alamos High School. Jason is survived by his mother, Kathleen Veenstra and partner Grady Stem; his father Will Ott and wife Cindy; his sister Julia Toler, husband Josh, and Jason’s adored nieces and nephews Ava, Grey, Griffin, Norah and Ingrid; his sister Emily Veenstra-Ott and fiancé Kevin O’Neal; and many aunts, uncles, cousins and friends.

Jason was an immensely talented artist and musician. From the time that he picked up his first guitar we could tell where he was by the sounds of beautiful music or his practicing a chord over and over. Jason was funny and kind, and loved his family and friends deeply and with his whole heart. He was a sensitive and giving soul who left us decades too soon, but now shines brightly among the peaceful stars that he loved so much. He will be profoundly missed and held in our hearts always.

Private memorial services will be held at a later date.
