EDWARD ROMERO Oct. 14, 1930 – May 14, 2016

Edward Romero, 85, a former resident of Cuyamungue, and current resident of Los Alamos, passed away on Saturday, May 14, 2016. 

Edward was preceded in death by his wife Flora E. Romero; parents Jose Erineo and Ursinia Ortiz Romero; brothers Juan Gavino and Julian; sisters Ermelinda and Sally. 

Edward proudly served in the United States Army. He was employed by the Atomic Energy Commission, Zia Company, and the State of New Mexico. 

He is survived by his daughter Terrie and husband Ray; and sons Edward LeRoy, Ronald  and wife Rose, and Gerald (Gary) and wife Debbie. Grandchildren Nadine, Kellie, Dawna, and Allen; Leah, Jason, and Daniella; Ryan, Ross, and Randon; and Jeff, Jennifer, Kerry, and Leslie; 20 great-grandchildren. Sister Helen and husband Philip Lujan; brothers Manual and wife Erma, Lawrence and wife Gloria, Santiago (Jim) and wife Lorraine; and many nieces, nephews, and friends, including special nephew Charles and wife Joann Lujan. 

Edward’s family sincerely thanks his extended family at Sombrillo Nursing Center of Los Alamos for their many years of caring for (Grandpa) Ed. Services are pending at this time and will be posted as soon as they become available. Serving the family as honorary pallbearers are Ross Romero, Jacob Kline, Paul Ray Trujillo, Kellie Romero, Charles Lujan Jr., Cruz Lujan, and Christopher Lawson.
