Dona Crump, 60, of Knoxville died Friday May 10, 2013 at her home. Cause of death was cancer. She was born December 4, 1952 in Columbus, Ind.
Crump graduated from Los Alamos High School and received a bachelor’s degree in biology from Tennessee Tech. She was preceded in death by her Mother Betty Miller McClanahan. Dona is survived by her father Sam McClanahan, son Aaron Crump, brother Darrell McClanahan all of Knoxville and sister Robyn Comer of Columbia, Mo. She was also beloved by numerous other aunts, uncles, and other family.
Dona worked at Los Alamos National Laboratory for 29 years, taught Sunday school to 4 and 5 year olds for 25 years, she adored children, loved animals, and enjoyed creating arts and crafts, going to rock concerts and visiting National Parks.
The family will receive friends from 6-7 p.m. Tuesday, May 14, 2013 at Graystone Presbyterian Church in Knoxville. The family and friends will meet at 11 a.m. at Stock Creek Baptist Church Cemetery for Graveside services. Condolences can be expressed at www.Memorialfuneralhomemaryville.com.
