DAVID W. CARROLL Dec. 3, 1947 – April 26, 2016
David W. Carroll, 68 of Los Alamos passed away Tuesday, April 26th, 2016 after a hard-fought battle with cancer.
He was born on December 3, 1947 in Portland, Oregon and lived in the Pacific Northwest until moving with his family to Los Alamos in 1955. He graduated from the Los Alamos High School in 1965 and the University of Northern Colorado in 1969 with a degree in Industrial Arts and Meteorology.
He worked at the Los Alamos National Laboratory for 42 years until retirement in April 2012.
David is survived by his wife of 28 years, Janice, his two daughters Emma and Anna, his brother Stephen and sister, Judith. He is also survived by many other relatives along with two horses, four dogs and the occasional barn cat.
He was very active in the Los Alamos Community having volunteered for many organizations, including Los Alamos Public Schools and the Heart and Soul Animal Sanctuary. David was willing to lend a hand where it was needed.
David was a kind and caring man who was loved by many and he will be greatly missed. There will be a celebration of his life to be announced in the near future. In lieu of flowers, a donation to your favorite charity could be made.
