ANNABELLE HONNELL Dec. 26, 1929 Dec. 1, 2014

Annabelle Honnell, 84, beloved wife and mother and a forty six-year resident of Los Alamos, passed away on Monday, December 1, 2014.

She was born December 26, 1929 in Huntington, W.V. where she attended St. Joseph High School and graduated from Marshall College. In the course of her career, she worked for the Army Corps of Engineers, General Electric, where she met her future husband Richard and the Los Alamos Scientific Laboratory. She loved the outdoors of New Mexico, and enjoyed hiking, playing bridge, woodworking, painting, going on family camping trips, and taking trips with her daughter to Laughlin. 

A devoted mother and grandmother, she poured her heart into parenthood. She was preceded in death by her parents, William and Matilda McCloskey, and her sister, Irene Woodrum.

Annabelle is survived by her husband, Richard Honnell; children, Kevin Honnell (Diana), Brian Honnell, Emily Irwin (Rance), Ethan Honnell (Shannon); brother, Forrest McCloskey (Susan), sister, Evelyn Collins (Sam); grandchildren, Victoria, Miranda, Azure, and Sanger Honnell, and many nieces, nephews, extended family and friends. 

Mass of Christian burial will be celebrated on Saturday, December 6, 2014 at 11:00 a.m. at St. Joseph’s Catholic Church in White Rock, with a burial to follow at Guaje Pines Cemetery.
