ANN ELIZABETH DALEY Aug. 6, 1946 – Jan. 28, 2025
Ann Elizabeth Daley passed away the morning of January 28 in Huntsville, AL. She was 78. She was kind, funny, smart and blessed all of those around her with her smile and laugh. She loved her friends and family, babies, nature, quilting, music, coffee, chocolate, wine, babies again and sitting on her back patio reading.
She was born in Malden, MA, earned her BA in English from Calvin Coolidge College in 1968 and married Robert Daley in Malden on April 4, 1970. They had 5 children, Elizabeth, Jennifer, Robert Jr., Kathryn and Victoria. In 1994 they moved to Los Alamos and built a life surrounded by friends. She was an EA at the high school and then taught reading at both Chamisa and Pinon. Ann was involved in the local book club, the quilting club and supported her children through their school activities, especially the band. She loved listening and seeing her children perform music. She eventually became Nana to 7 grandchildren; Olivia, Adam, Andrew, Samantha, Laura, Michael and Kimberly. She doted on them as often as she could.
Ann was a strong, loving woman who will be greatly missed. There will be a service at Immaculate Heart of Mary Catholic Church the morning of Saturday, March 8. We will say the Rosary for her at 9:30, the service at 10. Following that she will be laid to rest at Guaje Pines Cemetery at 11am.
