NWS: Winter Weather Update

The National Weather Service forecasts snow showers from the third storm system will focus from the northern mountains across to northeast New Mexico, as well as the east-central plains through Thursday morning. An isolated thunderstorm cannot be ruled out across or near the higher terrain. Wind chills tonight will be in the single digits and below zero across much of the state. Another round of freezing fog and perhaps light freezing drizzle is expected across the eastern plains. High temperatures Thursday will largely be below freezing across the eastern plains, with temperatures 15-30 degrees below normal across most of the state and travel impacts are likely to linger into the day.
