NRGNHA Offering Hands-on Plant & Herb Identification And Remedy Workshop Nov. 16

Northern Río Grande National Heritage Area (NRGNHA) is offering another hands-on plant and local herb identification and remedy workshop 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. Saturday, Nov. 16 at Los Luceros Historic Site 253 County Road 41 in Alcalde.

NRGNHA’s Harvest Remedios Part II workshop at Los Luceros continues the journey into the world of traditional herbal remedies. Building on the knowledge and skills acquired in Remedios I, this class focuses on preparing and preserving harvested herbs for the winter months.

Participants will learn practical techniques and create beneficial herbal products to support health during the colder season in this hands-on workshop. Whether continuing from Remedios I or joining for the first time, this class provides valuable knowledge and practical skills. The workshop is $50 per person. Registration online.

This workshop introduces participants to local plant and herb identification in Northern New Mexico and how to use these plants to make immunity-boosting remedies.
