NNMC News:

Hundreds of students from Española Valley, Pojoaque Valley, Jemez Valley, Pecos, Penasco, McCurdy, Mesa Vista and other high schools gathered at Northern New Mexico College’s Eagle Memorial Gymnasium Wednesday, March 21, for the 3rd Annual Northern New Mexico Expo.

Students learned about the variety of academic programs offered at Northern by visiting the tables of different academic departments and taking part in hands-on activities such as using a stethoscope on a simulation dummy and operating hi-tech microscopes.

Students also had the opportunity to meet a wide range of employers to learn about internships and job openings.

Attendees also got a chance to meet a friendly bull snake brought by the New Mexico Wildlife Center, watch a robot brought by the Española Teen Center that cleans up, check out amazing lowriders, and eat great food.
