NNMC Student Arts Showcase Dec. 5-6

ESPANOLA — Northern New Mexico College’s Student Arts Showcase is 11 a.m. to 8 p.m., Dec. 5-6, in the Nick Salazar Center for the Arts (CFA). 
 
The art show will feature student works in drawing, painting, pottery and photography, weaving, bultos and retablos, tinwork and spanish colonial furniture.
 
An opening reception with the artists is noon to 1 p.m., Wednesday, Dec. 5. Refreshments will be served.
 
Film & Digital Media Arts students will present their final film projects 1-3 p.m., Dec. 5, in the CFA Theatre. There will be an art sale 11 a.m. to 4 p.m., from which 20 percent of the proceeds help support the Visual Arts Foundation Scholarship.
 
A special presentation by Artist Justin Clifford Rhody will close the event at 6 p.m., Thursday Dec. 6, starting at on “Art21 Berlin” and followed by a projection sound performance of Vernacular Visions.
 
All events are free and open to the public.
