New coaches, experienced coaches, wanna-be soccer coaches, please circle Wednesday, April 27 on your calendar.
Our community is very fortunate to have Bob Bigney, the New Mexico Youth Soccer Association’s (NMYSA’s) Associate Technical Director, coming up from Albuquerque to lead two separate coaches training sessions Wedneday, April 27 at Spirio Fields at Overlook Park in White Rock.
Bigney is a US Soccer A Level License holder, an elementary school teacher, and coached at the college level for more than a decade.
The first session will be geared toward younger ages and Recreation level coaching (5-6 p.m.), the second will be aimed toward older players and more focused on competitive and pre-competitve coaching (6:30-7:30 p.m.). The sessions are free … please take advantage of this training.
The NMYSA has been coming up to Los Alamos yearly for a number of years and every session has been extremely well run. Come to Wednesday’s training ready to play. Bigney will use the coaches in his activities (note: you don’t have to participate). If you have any questions, please feel to contact the Los Alamos Youth Soccer League at layslinbox@gmail.com.
