NMFO News:

SANTA FE — The New Mexico Film Office (NMFO) Thursday announced the feature film Little Brother is in production in New Mexico.

The film is produced by 19 Twelve Films, Made by Limbo, and Circa 1888. Filming will take place through September 2021 in Albuquerque, Moriarty, Cedar Crest and Mesita.

“Little Brother is going to showcase so many great landscapes and locations across New Mexico – mountains, desert, urban, rural. This is an exciting project, and we are pleased to see New Mexicans at the helm,” NMFO Director Amber Dodson said.

Little Brother is directed by Sheridan O’Donnell (Flush, A Picnic Table, At Dusk), and produced by Keagan Karnes (Walking With Herb), Chris Dodds, and JP Oulette and Dylan Matlock (Mass).

Little Brother is the story of a journey across part of the west. After his older brother Pete’s most recent suicide attempt, Jake must drive him home from Albuquerque to Seattle for a family intervention about Pete’s mental health.

The production will employ approximately 25 New Mexico crew members, 10 New Mexico principal cast members, and 65 New Mexico background and extras. Principal cast includes Phillip Ettinger (I Know This Much Is True) and Daniel Diemer (The Half of It).

“I couldn’t be more excited to be shooting my feature directorial debut in my home state of New Mexico. We wouldn’t be able to make this film without the support from the New Mexico and Albuquerque Film Offices and all the amazing film professionals in the state,” O’Donnell said.
