SANTA FE — The network internet and intranet system at the New Mexico Public Regulation Commission is down but expected to be assessed and fixed within 10-days.
The system has been down since Thursday, Jan. 9, 2020, and has remained in a non-operational condition since apparently being hacked.
Jason Montoya, chief of staff, stated that the network is expected to be properly functioning after third party risk assessment is conducted as required by the Department of Information and Technology.
It may take at least 10 days. The system is currently in safe mode, while IT engineers and technicians are working to restore the system in careful steps to ensure the network is back on line.
The uploading features in filing documents electronically with the Records section is down.
Documents may be hand delivered to the PERA building on the third floor at 1120 Paseo de Peralta, Santa, Fe, NM 87501, or mailed to P. O. Box 1269, Santa Fe, NM 87504-1269.
