NM 503 Pavement Preservation Work Begins June 18

NMDOT News:

NAMBE – The New Mexico Department of Transportation (NMDOT) will begin pavement preservation work on N.M. 503 from mile marker 0.0 to mile marker 2.3 in Nambe. NMDOT maintenance crews will be chip sealing the roadway. This work is anticipated to be completed by June 22; weather permitting.

Thursday, June 18 to Monday, June 22, 8 a.m. to 5 p.m., there will be one lane closures on N.M. 503 northbound and southbound lanes. Motorists can expect delays. There will be a flagger and pilot car escort through the work zone.  There will be NO closures through the weekend. 

The roadway will temporarily have loose gravel and no center stripe through the work zone. Drivers are advised to reduce speed and use caution. NMDOT thanks you for your patience during this pavement preservation improvement project.

Drivers are urged to proceed with caution through the work zone, observe traffic control signs and reduce speed to the posted limit. Updates on this project will be posted on the New Mexico Department of Transportation’s road advisory website www.nmroads.com.
