Newnam Top Predictor In Opening Of 50th Season Of Atomic City Road Runners Pace Race Series April 2, 2024

ACRR News:

Brian Newnam was the best predictor in the opening of the 50th season of the Atomic City Road Runners’ (ACRR) pace race series at 6 seconds off his predicted time on the Canyon Rim Trail. 

Other accurate predictors: 

  • Felix Candia with a 17 second differential;
  • Warren Scoggins at 13 seconds off;
  • Lynn Bjorklund recording a 33 second difference as well as the first female finisher in the 3 mile course with a time of 23:27; and
  • Roxana Candia at 34 seconds off.

On the 1 mile course:

  • 13-year-old Adrian Medin was the top finisher at 6:27; and
  • Lisa Johnson was the first female recording a 11:40.

On the 3 mile course:

  • Paul Geimer, with 1-year-old Iris Geimer, was the best finisher with a time of 18:50.

Next week’s race is 6 p.m. Tuesday, April 9 on the road to the sewage plant, which is located by turning left from N.M. 502 down Main Hill Road just past the N.M. 4 White Rock sign junction. 1 and 3 mile courses will be available.
