Los Alamos County Clerk Sharon Stover announced the unofficial results in the 2015 School Board Election this evening in Council Chambers.
School Board Results District 3:
- 94 – Bill Hargraves;
- 86 – Nan Holmes;
- 40 – Sheryl Nichols.
School Board Results District 4:
- 161 – Andrea Cunningham;
- 44 – Michael Fessbender.
School Board Results District 5:
- 124 Jenny McCumber;
- 23 – Judy Bjarke-McKenzie.
UNM-LA Advisory Board Position 3:
- 287 – Michael DiRosa;
- 253 – Troy Hughes;
- 142 – James Nealy Robinson.
UNM-LA Advisory Board Position 4:
- 548 – Stephen Boerigter.
The winning candidates share their thoughts and appreciation for the support they’ve received from the community.
“I feel honored to serve the Aspen District … the first thing I’d like to do is move the high school and middle school starting time one hour later … and I want a communication plan developed so people can know what’s going on.”
“I’m honored that I was elected and I will do my best to represent the school district … I’m excited to start learning everything I can to do the best job possible … and involve teachers, parents and students in dealing with our concerns.”
“I really appreciate all the support from the community … I’m excited to have this opportunity to serve and I’m ready to get to work.”
