Twenty-five community members attended Dist. 43 Representative-elect Stephanie G. Richard’s Town Hall meeting Sunday at UNM-Los Alamos.
Richard touched on issues expected to be considered during the upcoming 60-day Legislative Session and answered questions from the audience.
Richard addressed the budget, capital outlay and policy issues such as drivers licenses, education reform and economic development.
The newly elected legislator also is scheduled to participate in the League of Women Voters of Los Alamos’ annual “Legislative Preview” at 7 p.m., Jan. 9 at Fuller Lodge.
New Mexico Sentate Dist. 5 Sen. Richard Martinez and Dist. 6 Sen. Carlos Cisneros also have been invited to participate as well as other individuals relevant to issues expected to be considered during the 2013 Legislative Session.
The upcoming session begins at noon, Jan. 15 and ends at noon, March 16 at the Roundhouse in Santa Fe.
