NMVMF News:

ALBUQUERQUE — The New Mexico Veterans Memorial Foundation (NMVMF) will hold a 9-11 ceremony at 11 a.m., Saturday, Sept. 11 honoring those who lost their lives on that tragic day, as well as first responders, military members and their families who have sacrificed for 20 years.

The ceremony is at the New Mexico Veterans Memorial Park, 1100 Louisiana Blvd. SE in Albuquerque.

On this 20th anniversary of that terrible day, New Mexicans will gather to pay tribute to heroes and thank them for their tremendous sacrifice. The ceremony will include an honor guard, several guest speakers to include Gold Star Mothers and Blue Star Families representatives and an all-star community choral group.

NMVMF invites the Albuquerque and surrounding communities to support this important remembrance where thousands of Americans died in a terrorist attack on the nation.

There is ample parking, and the event will take place in the Park’s amphitheater that offers sheltered seating. Volunteers will be on hand to help direct visitors.

Face coverings are requested.
