NMSP News:
Cibola and McKinley County – New Mexico State Police (NMSP) officers in District 6 were very proactive during the month of July 2024.
NMSP officers stationed in Gallup and Grants showed their hard work by the impressive statistics they put out during the month of July. These numbers reflect the dedication in ensuring the safety and well-being of the communities they serve.
July 2024 District 6 Statistics:
- Traffic Stops – 930
- Citations – 1,203 (357 for speeding and 99 for no seatbelt)
- DWI Arrests – 14
- Felony Arrests – 6
- Misdemeanor Arrests – 14
- Commercial Vehicle Enforcement officers issued 147 citations with 44 of those being for speeding.
- Six sobriety checkpoints were also held in July, stressing the importance of removing drunk drivers from the roadways.
District 6 officers remain steadfast in their commitment to safeguarding the citizens of New Mexico.
