The New Mexico Sports Hall of Fame Board will be honoring the 2019 class in August during its annual celebration weekend.

This week, the NMSHOF Board of Directors with the help of the Albuquerque Convention Center confirmed the 47th Annual Induction Banquet presented by the Marty Saiz State Farm Agency will be held Sunday, Aug. 15.

The annual Induction Banquet previous scheduled for last April was postponed due to the Covid-19 shutdown. 

The 5th Annual Charity Golf Classic presented by Galles Chevrolet is scheduled for Saturday, Aug. 14 at Twin Warriors Golf Club.

“We will make it a very special weekend for our seven 2019 inductees Holly Holm, Carolyn Thompson, Danny Romero, Rob Evans, Jimmy Collins, Alan Branch and Nick Pino this coming April,” Board President Dick Johnson said.

All previously purchased tickets and corporate partnerships will be honored for the August events at no additional cost. Ticket sales will open pending the Governor’s approval for larger events.

“The safety and health of our attendees in our main priority,” Johnson said. “We also want to make it the best event possible, and there is still much to be determined as to future guidelines.”
