SANTA FE — Thursday, the New Mexico Secretary of State’s Office announced that all business transactions with our Office will be conducted through our online business filing portal beginning Dec. 9, 2024, instead of Nov. 12, 2024.

The New Mexico Secretary of State’s online filing portal, SOS Enterprise, has been the portal for Notary, UCC and Facsimile Filings for the past year. In December 2024, all Business Filings will be a part of this portal, allowing for a more user friendly and updated environment. Customers will be able to register and maintain their businesses through this portal.

The extension of the transition date to Dec. 9, 2024, gives users ample time to anticipate the change, update their records and bookmarks, and request refunds for prepaid accounts.

Importantly, users with prepaid account balances in the current Business Filing System will receive refunds for those accounts as prepaid accounts will not transfer to the new filing system.

Important Information

• Beginning Dec. 9, 2024, all online business transactions will be available at https://enterprise.sos.nm.gov. 
• All online Business, Notary, Apostille and UCC transactions will be unavailable beginning at 5 p.m., Dec. 5, 2024, and will remain unavailable through Dec. 8, 2024, as we transition systems. 
• Prepaid accounts will not be available in the new filing system. Users with a prepaid account balance in the current Business Filing System will receive refunds to the name and address on the account.
