SANTA FE – October is National Cybersecurity Awareness Month, and the New Mexico Office of Broadband Access and Expansion (OBAE) is participating in this global initiative to raise awareness about the importance of cybersecurity and online safety.

In an era of increasing digitalization, cybersecurity is paramount. The prevalence of online threats, data breaches, and cyber-attacks underscores the need for robust cybersecurity practices.

As part of Cybersecurity Month, OBAE is dedicated to educating individuals, businesses, and communities about the best practices for staying safe online.

On OBAE’s website, you can find a portal with educational videos and tips aimed at enhancing cybersecurity knowledge. Topics covered include password management, phishing awareness, secure online transactions, and protecting sensitive data.
