This Saturday, May 11, the New Mexico Museum of Natural History & Science (NMMNHS) will unveil Conserving America’s Wildlands: The Vision of Ted Turner, a new traveling exhibition that brings together stunning wildland photography with never-before-seen fossils and other specimens from the museum’s Research Collections.
Presented by Thornburg Investment Management, this exhibition paints a vivid picture of the deep history found in our wild places and the value of conservation. This new exhibition features photos captured by Rhett Turner, son of media mogul and conservationist Ted Turner, alongside more than 35 preserved unique scientific specimens from the Cretaceous period through the present day.

Rhett Turner is an Emmy Award-winning filmmaker and acclaimed photographer. His landscape panoramas and wildlife portraits taken on 23 Turner family properties throughout the United States capture the diversity of landscapes that comprise the nation.
