The New Mexico Museum of Natural History & Science’s (NMMNHS) Science Fiction or Fact? Film Series returns with a special screening of one of the most popular sci-fi films of all time: Star Wars: A New Hope!
Experience this classic like never before as the museum projects it on the domed screen of its 55-foot Planetarium Thursday, Dec. 12 at 1801 Mountain Road NW in Albuquerque.
Science Fiction or Fact? is a family-friendly film series showing science-fiction blockbusters, familiar old classics, and everything in between using the domed screen of the NMMNHS Planetarium, Powered by Meta.
For the final film of 2024, the museum will be showing Star Wars: A New Hope. Watch the 1977 classic that kicked off one of the most popular science-fiction franchises on the Planetarium’s giant screen.
As part of this event, the museum’s beloved exhibition Sci-Fi & Sci-Fact, which explores the ways that science fiction and scientific fact overlap and help create our modern world, will be open to view before the screening. Additionally, enjoy all-ages activities and visits from special guests from another world!
When: 4-9 p.m., Thursday, Dec. 12. The film screening begins at 6:30 p.m.
