New Mexico Museum Of Natural History & Science Announces Science-Fiction Movie Series Starting Oct. 19

NMMNHS News:

Join the DCA at the New Mexico Museum of Natural History & Science (NMMNHS) as they separate science from fiction with Science Fiction or Fact?

A new sci-fi film series beginning 6 p.m. Wednesday, Oct. 19.

Science Fiction or Fact? is a family-friendly film series focused on science-fiction blockbusters, familiar classics, and everything in between. If you’ve ever watched a sci-fi movie and wondered if it was based on real science, then Science Fiction or Fact? is for you!

Experience your favorite movies like never before as NMMMNHS projects them from the massive domed screen of the 55-foot NMMNHS Planetarium. After the movie, make sure you join in the discussion on the movie’s merits by our educators, curators, and special guests.

The first film in the series will be the 1959 classic Journey to the Center of the Earth. Then, join them Dec. 21 for the 2015 blockbuster hit The Martian, starring Matt Damon.

Admission is by donation and registration is required. To register and to learn more the first event in the series, visit this link.

This event will take place in the Planetarium at NMMNHS, located at 1801 Mountain Road NW. Free parking is available in the lot immediately north of the Museum.
