DVS News:
New Mexico Department Of Veterans’ Services (DVS) Cabinet Secretary Donnie Quintana issued the following statement today:
On this day 246 years ago, our fledgling nation adopted the Stars and Stripes as our national emblem—as an enduring symbol of freedom and opportunity in the United States of America. In 1949, congressional legislation designated June 14 as Flag Day and was signed into law by President Harry S. Truman.
“Old Glory” it is not just a flag. It is the symbol of our national pride, our glorious history, and our freedom we enjoy as Americans. Happy Flag Day!”
