New Mexico Corrections Department Seeks Public’s Assistance Locating Dangerous Absconder

The New Mexico Corrections Department and New Mexico Crime Stoppers is asking for the public’s assistance in locating a dangerous probation/parole absconder.

On Feb. 16, 2016 at approximately 6 p.m., Daniel Archuleta cut off his GPS monitoring unit and absconded from the supervision of the New Mexico Corrections Department. Archuleta was being dually supervised on probation and parole for the charges of aggravated burglary, conspiracy, and tampering with evidence.

Archuleta is described as a Hispanic male. He is 38 years of age. He is approximately 5’8’ tall and weighs 162 pounds. He has brown eyes and brown hair; however, he is known to shave his head. Archuleta has numerous tattoos to include Mr. Smurf tattooed over his right eyebrow and several other tattoos on his face, arms, legs, chest and back.

Archuleta is a validated gang member. At the time he absconded, he was residing in Espanola; however, he is known to have ties in Santa Fe and Albuquerque. Over the past two days, Archuleta has been seen in the following vehicles:

 
2001, Honda Accord, gold in color, bearing New Mexico license plate 240-TDW.

2012, GMC Terrain, bronze in color, bearing New Mexico license plate 863-PAF.

Anyone having information on Archuleta’s whereabouts is urged to contact the New Mexico Corrections Department at 1.866.416.9867 or New Mexico Crime Stoppers at 1.505.843.STOP (7867).

Crime Stoppers is offering a reward for information leading to the arrest of Archuleta and callers can remain anonymous.
