New Mexico Cannabis Control Division To Hold Public Hearing Today On Allowable Solvents In Manufacturing

SANTA FE—The Cannabis Control Division of the New Mexico Regulation and Licensing Department will hold a public hearing today, Dec. 1.

The purpose of the meeting is to gather input on proposed rule amendments to clarify allowable solvents in cannabis manufacturing processes and to support positive relationships between labor unions and cannabis businesses.

The Cannabis Regulation Act, passed by the Legislature earlier this year, requires that regulations all regulations for the production, manufacture and sale of adult-use cannabis be in place by Jan. 1, 2022. The CRA requires adult-use cannabis sales to begin no later than April 1, 2022.
