New NMBBE Executive Director Camille Pedrick

ALBUQUERQUE – The New Mexico Board of Bar Examiners (NMBBE) announces Camille Pedrick as its new executive director. She assumes her duties effective April 11.
Pedrick was born and raised in Albuquerque. She received a Juris Doctorate degree from the University of New Mexico School of Law in 2005 and earned bachelor’s degrees in psychology and sociology from UNM in 2001.
The board, which is an agency of the state Supreme Court, administers the bar exam for law school graduates and attorneys seeking to practice in New Mexico, and it makes recommendations to the Court on the reinstatement or readmission of lawyers.
Pedrick is licensed to practice law in New Mexico and California and was recently approved for admission in the state of Arizona. She lives in Albuquerque with her husband and is the parent of four adult children: two sons and two stepsons.
During her legal career, Pedrick practiced primarily in the areas of domestic relations and criminal law. She previously resided and practiced law in eastern and southwestern New Mexico.
Along with her broad legal experience, Pedrick brings to her NMBBE job a passion for mentoring young attorneys and teaching Continuing Legal Education classes.
The mission of the New Mexico Board of Bar Examiners is to:
- Investigate the professional qualifications and good moral character of applicants for admission or reinstatement to the bar of New Mexico;
- Prepare, arrange for and administer examinations for admission to the bar of New Mexico;
- Make recommendations to the Supreme Court with respect to reinstatement or readmission to practice of lawyers who have for any reason withdrawn from the state bar of New Mexico;
- Discuss with applicants for admission to the bar general problems of purposes, policies and procedures of the bar examination; and
- Administer these rules and adopt its own practices not inconsistent with these rules.
