Winston Churchill expressed the spirit of the holidays when he said, “We make a living by what we get. We make a life by what we give.” The New Mexico Bank & Trust Los Alamos banking center is offering an opportunity for you to share that same spirit of giving during their First Annual Holiday Toy Drive and Fundraiser.
Beginning now and running through Dec. 9, individuals can donate toys, make gifts of cash donations, or purchase handmade Christmas ornaments at the Los Alamos banking center located at 1475 Central Ave. All proceeds and toys collected will be donated to Judy Gail’s Place, a non-profit organization that provides for the transitional needs of New Mexico families who have escaped domestic violence. Specifically, toys will be gifted to children attending JudyGail’s Place Single Parents Christmas Party on Dec. 10.
“Giving back to the community is important to our team here at New Mexico Bank & Trust,” said Lesley Harelson, Los Alamos Banking Center Manager. “To be able to work together to benefit such an amazing organization like JudyGail’s Place is really heartwarming. With the community’s help, we hope to make a lot of children affected by domestic abuse very happy this holiday season.”
