SANTA FE — The New Mexico Association of REALTORS® (NMAR) is proud to announce Lois Sury as its 2026 President. A respected leader, educator, and dedicated advocate for real estate professionals and property owners across New Mexico, Sury brings more than three decades of industry experience and service to the role.
A native New Mexican, Sury has built her career on deep local knowledge, exceptional professionalism, and a passion for helping clients achieve their real estate goals. She graduated Summa Cum Laude from Eastern New Mexico University with degrees in sociology and business. She later gained valuable experience in both government and education, expertise that continues to inform her thoughtful, energetic approach to real estate.
For more than 30 years, Sury has been a trusted expert in the Santa Fe real estate market. Known for her positive, organized, and client-focused style, she is dedicated to making the buying and selling process a fun, exciting, and empowering learning experience. She has helped countless first-time buyers, investors, and second-home seekers find the perfect property in Northern New Mexico.
Sury’s commitment to the industry extends far beyond her work with clients. She has held numerous leadership positions within the Santa Fe Association of REALTORS® and NMAR, including service on the board of directors, treasurer, executive committee member, and representative director. She has chaired multiple committees and currently serves as Federal Political Coordinator to U.S. Senator Martin Heinrich, as well as a member of the Education Advisory Committee for the New Mexico Real Estate Commission. In addition, she teaches the NMREC Core Course several times a year, helping prepare and guide the next generation of real estate professionals.
Her contributions have been recognized with some of the industry’s highest honors. In 2007, she was named REALTOR® of the Year, acknowledging her unwavering adherence to the REALTOR® Code of Ethics, her professional excellence, and her extensive community and association service. In 2022, she received the Lifetime Achievement Award from the Santa Fe Association of REALTORS® for her longstanding impact on the industry and her peers.
Sury has also invested deeply in her professional development, earning numerous respected designations, including ABR, CRS, GRI, E-Pro, RSPS, TRC, GREEN, AHWD, SFR, CIPS, and C2EX, as well as the newly developed Santa Fe Specialist designation, a course she helped design to elevate knowledge of Santa Fe’s unique real estate landscape. She has also completed NAR’s Bias Override program and Fairhaven training, underscoring her commitment to promoting professionalism, fairness, and equity throughout the industry.
Sury previously served as President of the Santa Fe Association of REALTORS® in 2010. She will bring her extensive leadership experience, collaborative spirit, and strong vision for the future to NMAR as its 2026 President.
