Chuck’s Wagon, a new food truck with a gourmet twist, opened for business Oct. 1 on Trinity Drive, across from Ashley Pond.
Chuck’s Wagon operates 7 a.m. to 2 p.m., Monday through Friday.
“We’re giving Los Alamos exposure to the food truck revolution that has swept both coasts,” owner Chuck Miller said. “We’re keeping the menu small, so we can focus on quality.”
Miller and his “right hand,” Chef Ayan Diop will rotate the menu, so there’s always something new. Breakfast items include breakfast burritos, biscuits and gravy, danish pastries and “really good coffee.”
Lunch offerings Wednesday included philly cheese steaks, green chili cheeseburgers, grilled chicken sandwiches, chicken fried steak and fresh tomato feta soup. Rotating fresh soups and salads will bring variety to the lunch menu, Miller said.
Chuck’s Wagon travels to events around the Southwest, so look for them at local happenings as well as at their regular weekday location.
Interesting food at reasonable prices is the goal of Chuck’s Wagon, Miller said. Chuck’s Wagon accepts credit cards and checks as well as cash.
